CutKit for iPhone collects no data.

We built it so there's nothing to collect. This page says what that means for the app, and what the website getcutkit.com keeps.

Who we are

CutKit is made by UpSys LLC. We're the ones who decide what happens to the little data described below. Write to us any time at hello@getcutkit.com.

The app

There's no account and no sign-in.
Speech recognition runs on your iPhone. Your voice isn't sent anywhere, and we never hear it.
Your scripts and your recordings stay on your phone, or in the iCloud Drive folder you picked yourself. We can't see either one.
There's no analytics, no ad network, no tracking and no third-party SDK in the app.
Camera, microphone, speech recognition and Photos access are used only to record, follow and save your take, on the phone. Nothing leaves it.
If you email us from the app, the message includes your app version and iPhone model so we can help. You can delete that text before you send.

Apple runs the App Store and TestFlight. If you share crash reports or feedback with developers through iOS settings or TestFlight, Apple may pass them to us. They're anonymous and we use them only to fix bugs.

Purchases

Pro is an in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We don't see your payment details or your Apple Account. Apple tells the app a purchase happened, and that's all.

This website

Visit counts. getcutkit.com uses Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves. It sets no cookies, doesn't follow you across sites and doesn't store your IP address or any personal data. It counts page views and whether the beta form was used, nothing more.

The beta list. The beta form asks for an email address, and nothing else. We keep it for one reason, to send you the TestFlight invite and news about the CutKit beta and launch. It sits in our database on Cloudflare, and the confirmation email goes out through Resend, our mail provider. We don't sell it and we don't share it with anyone else. We keep it until you ask us to delete it, and we delete the whole list within a year of the App Store launch. To have your address removed sooner, email us and it's gone.

Hosting. Cloudflare serves the site. Like any host, it sees the IP address of each request and keeps standard server logs for a short time to keep the site running and safe.

If you live in the EU, UK or California, you can ask to see, correct or delete the email address we hold, or object to us using it. Write to hello@getcutkit.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, including children. The beta form isn't meant for anyone under 16, and if we learn we hold a child's email address, we delete it.

Changes

If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date below, and say so in the app's release notes.
